Five former Little Hawks have begun their 2017 collegiate seasons.
Josh Crosby ’13 is hitting .318 with four doubles as Washburn University in Kansas is now 8-3.
Sam Mrstik ’13 is now at Southern Arkansas but is nursing an injured obligue.
Quinton Forrester’14 is at Valdosta State in Georgia and has had several good outings in releif.
Brady Cotton’15 expects to get innings with Luther College
Nick Sueppel’15 has had some at bats and playing time after recovering from fall arm surgury.
In addition, two former Little Hawks are head coaches. Coach Dan Heefner ’96 enters his 10th season as head coach of Dallas Baptist. DBU has emerged as a premier college program in the country.
Brian Furlong is in his first year at Heartland Community College after having been the pitching coach at Creighton.
