v All USSSA rules will apply unless otherwise noted herein.
v
Teams must be
sanctioned by USSSA & have their roster on-line with USSSA by April 24, 2010.
Managers
must check in at the main gate (east end of ball park) prior to their 1st game. At that time they must
provide a signed (by parents) USSSA roster printed from a USSSA on-line roster to
the tournament director.
v Individual trophies will be awarded to each member of the first place team in the Gold, Silver, and Bronze brackets.
v All games will be 6 innings if time permits. No innings will start after the time limit. Time limits for games:

v If a game is tied after the time limit expires teams will play additional inning(s) with the following rules:
Each team will place the last two players who batted from the previous inning on second and third base. The last batter will become the runner on third base. The second to last batter will be the runner on second base. Substitutes may be used if players have not yet played in game. The inning will start with one out. This format will continue until a winner is declared.
The championship game is the only game that will not follow this format. The championship game will be played in a normal fashion until a winner is declared.
v Parking – Please be aware that the Iowa City Police will ticket anyone parked in the grass. Please park in designated lots.
v Mercy Rule - Run differential of 15 runs after 3 innings or 8 runs after 4 innings.

THE NEXT DAY:
The maximum number of innings a player can legally
pitch in one (1) day and still pitch the next day. Rule 8.05.C.1 Example:
In the
7U – 12U age divisions, a player may legally pitch a maximum of three (3)
innings in one (1) day and still legally pitch the next day. If the player
pitches
three and one-third (3 1/3) or more innings in one (1) day, the player
cannot legally pitch the next day.
8.05.C.2 ONE DAY MAXIMUM: The maximum number of innings a player can
legally pitch in one (1) day.
Rule 8.05.C.2 Example: In the 7U – 12U age divisions, a player may
legally pitch a maximum of six (6) innings in one (1) day. The player would be
ineligible to pitch the next day.8.05.C.3 THREE DAY MAXIMUM: The maximum
number of innings a player can legally pitch in three (3) consecutive days.
v Extra Hitter (EH) - The Extra Hitter is allowed. The Designated Hitter is not allowed. Teams may elect to bat all their batters if they like and use open defensive substitution. If teams do not elect to use all batters, then USSSA rules apply for substitution.

Seeding Criteria
– The following criteria will be used to seed the teams after pool play:
A. Win-Loss record.
B. Head to Head.
C. Fewest runs allowed.
D. Run differential (runs scored minus runs allowed (+/- 8 runs per game
maximum).
v Courtesy Runners - Courtesy runners for the catcher and pitcher are allowed anytime. Have your catcher ready to go at the start of the inning. Courtesy runners must be someone not currently or previously in the game. If all players have been used, the last out from the previous inning will be the courtesy runner.
v Gate Fee – There will be a admission fee of $3.00 per person each day for anyone over 12 years old. 1.00 for kids under 12. Kids under 5 years old will be admitted free. No more than 3 coaches per team will be allowed in free.
v Home Team – Home team will be determined by a flip of the coin during poll play. During the single elimination tournament the higher seeded team will be the home team. The home team will be the official scorekeeper.
v End of Game – Both managers will be responsible for signing the tournament score sheet immediately following each game. The sheet will include pitching statistics for both teams.
v Ejections – Any player or coach ejected from a game due to unsportsmanlike conduct will not be allowed to participate in the next game of the event, and must leave the ball park until they are eligible to participate again.
v Weather / Tournament Format – The tournament director reserves the right to alter, change, or abbreviate the tournament format when necessary to complete the tournament. Games are considered complete after 3 innings of play if called due to weather. If they are stopped before then, they are considered suspended games and will resume at the spot they were stopped.
v Refund Policy – If the tournament is cancelled due to inclement weather, refunds will be issued as follows:

v Concessions - The City High Baseball boosters will operate a concession stand at the tournament. Please do not bring food into the baseball complex.
